  1. Titleist oil can design with deep grooves.  I bought one used and it is great, and can really put backspin on the ball if you practice it.

  2. I rarely buy 'new' clubs but go to the bin for 'used' clubs and that's the best deal around.

You can find a Cleveland CG12 used for $89 bucks and new $109... I went from Titleist Vokey Spin Milled to Cleveland CG12s... Get pretty much the same results with the Zip Grooves, the CG12 is lighter and doesn't eat up the ball as much as the Tileist wedge.

I just returned a Cleveland 588DSG 58* and decided to jump another 2* for the CG12 60* wedge.

So my wedge setup is this:

    Cobra Carbon CB PW 46*

    Cobra Carbon CB GW 50*

    Cleveland CG12 54*

    Cleveland CG12 60*

  3. I love my new mp-t Mizuno wedges. They are easy to hit from anywhere on the course. I bought them for $89 a piece after asking the pro shop if any discounts were available. Original price was $99. Also liked the Titleist Vokey spin milled wedges. I got a little more distance from them and they are little heavier in the head but tends to scuff the ball a bit more. MSP $109- $119.

  4. I have played a Titleist wedge for the last I don'i know how many years, and they are the best.  They release when you want them to release, check when you want them to check, and spin when you want the spin.  By far the best wedges out there for the better players.  Yeah they eat up balls pretty quick, but after a nice birdie, I'm sure you won't much care...  Get them new around $110, used for about half that....

  5. I'm in the Titleist Vokey Spin Milled club but I haven't played any of the other new wedges so I can't compare; however, the Vokey is nice enough that I have no desire to try any others.

  6. I just changed all my wedges (CG10) to the Cleveland CG14... $109 each...

    Bought 48* (no bounce),50*(med bounce),52*(high bounce),54* ,56*(med bounce),58*(no bounce),60*(med bounce).

Yeah, redundant but I love my wedges AND usually have 3 in the bag depending on what course I play and how the bunkers are and what bounce I need.

Usually its the 48*, 52*, 56*. The 48* replaces my PW from my iron Mizunos as I love the CG14 wedges alot.

  7. My only recommendation for the 60 degree wedge comes from Tom Watson "Hit it perfect, or you will hit it again".

  8. The prices are so compairable that you should worry about it too much.  I love my Titelst Vokey spin milled (oil can)  I played with a ping prior to this and after putting the titlest in my hand it was like I was a new player.  I was backing it up a bit and if not backing up it would hope up and stop  (Albeit I was playing with a ball that stops on a dime, but I played it with the ping too, and not the same action  (Call HX)).

For price one of the cheaper ones was a nike wedge, I heard its around 80.00, Also heard it is very good, but I have never hit it.

  9. Cleveland cg12 or cg14 they are both great wedges for their price which is $109.00 or try getting a slightly used one off globalgolf.com or eBay
