60M Sprint In 7.44 Seconds At 16 Years Of Age?

Hi im 16 years old andrecently joined a running club, ive never trained before and this is my first time doing anything like this

ive now been training for about 5 weeks and was timed on three different races the other day

for the 100m sprint i got 11 seconds flat

60 metres i got 7.44

400 metres i got 53 seconds

could you please tell me what you think on these times but remember this is only 5 weeks training at 3 times a week

  1. yeah your 100 time is very good for someone just starting but your 60 time could be better. you are probally just a better finisher that is where u get your speed from. and your 400 time is decent too try to get down some more at illinois state meets ppl usally run about a 48-49...but hey i cant say anything i suck at tha 400 lol..i run about a 57. but in the 100 i run a 10.8 and since you are doing so good try the 200 out too... you will be great in that


  2. d**n i do athletics and run 12 flat (100 metre) . your 100 metre speed is ridiculous especially for only 5 weeks training.

    By looking at your 60 metre time and 100 metre it seems to me that your take off is a bit slow but your top speed is real fast. So id suggest working specifically on take offs. Try quick starts and what not.
