  1. Serial speeder are we?, Normal 30mph over the speed limit is an instant ban. Could also get done for not driving with due care and attention.

Don't think they will go too lightly with you.

  2. fool! hope they ban you for a long time

  3. I sell lots of cars & there is a whole group of people in our state who do not have a  drivers license or insurance (I can't check as a private citizen)  & when they get pulled over & their car towed, they just buy another $500 one - with good tags of course. Sometimes they go to jail for a day or so, but nothing really happens unless they kill someone.  So driving uninsured and with no license happens a lot in the west. Not reccomending it to you, but it is a possibility.

I just make sure i turn my paperwork into the DMV immediately & note the time of sale when I sell something.

If you really want to keep safe, drive with the KPH part of your speedometer & you won't exceed the speed limit very often.

  4. Yep it's a ban.

  5. 60 in a 30 zone, you should be locked up. Speaking as someone who lost a dear friend too a nutter like you.

  6. 6 points already? You're obviously a slow learner! Yould think that you would be a bit more careful given the fact you already have reached the half way stage to losing your licence. Pay more attention and it won't happen! If you do lose it you've only yourself to blame!

  7. Double the speed limit, ie 60 in a 30 should be a 12mth ban unless the law over that has changed in the last year or two.

To be fair , Ive noticed your extenuating comment, but you should have been off the gas, knowing that an urban limit was nearing.

  8. You will almost certainly have a hefty fine and you make be looking at insurance increases (you may now be looked at as a reckless driver...not a good thing).

You may face a suspension or reduction in driving privileges. You will have to wait until your court date to find out.

Just a note...when speed limits decrease, there will be a sign in advance saying "reduced speed ahead" or "speed zone ahead". These signs warn you that the speed limit is going to drop. Those signs are there to tell you to slow down BEFORE you get to the point where the speed limit drops. In other words, "not slowing down in time" is the same thing as ignoring street signs. Also not a good thing.

Be prepared for any outcome. Personally, I hope you do face a suspension/revocation. Driving is not a right...it is a privilege and you are pushing your luck. Speeders like you sometimes make me wish I had never become an EMT...I'm sure you see my point.

    EMT

PS You may want to consult a lawyer.

  9. no you should get three points and a fine its 12 points for a ban

  10. I agree with Volvo 4 life.

  11. Maybe not banned, but the fines will bankrupt you.

  12. if you've already got 6 points I would expect they will make an example of you and either ban you or give you a hefty fine

  13. probably not

  14. You should be, before you kill someone.

Driving is not a birthright, it's a privilege granted to you, but you are abusing it.

    ADD

It doesn't matter if you were not near shops or houses; there could have been other motorists too, joggers, pedestrians, someone you could have injured. Including yourself.

You should have had enough time to slow down. Speed zones don't change abruptly from 60 mph to 30 mph.

  15. You definitely should be banned!

What were you doing ? Trying to kill a kiddie?

I hope they show no mercy.

  16. Well I thank god everyday that there are less drivers like you on the road

  17. Nope but bring alot of money..........

  18. your going to get a ticket from the cops

  19. As you should already know if you are driving 20 miles over the speed limit you have comitted a felony. You were driving 30 miles over the speed limit. Depending on where you live you will get a fine from between $500 and $1,000, might get your license suspended, or even face jail time.

  20. If you had not been drinking, hopefully it will be just a fine and 2 points, goodluck

  21. I hope you will be...

  22. yip you will get a ban as they will class it as dangerous driving and a heavy fine

  23. The public highway is not a racetrack.I think your car should be confiscated for doing 60 in a built up area.

  24. Let's hope so. One less speed freak on the roads would be an improvement.

No excuse for driving that fast in a 30mph area.
