  1. The average acceleration is defined to be the final velocity minus the initial velocity divided by the elapsed time

    Elapsed time = 3.5 hours

    All numbers read from the graph are the best I can estimate, they really should have included a table.

    Initial velocity = slope of line A

    Initial velocity = 25 km / 1hour = 25 km/h

    Final velocity = slope of line C = (27 - 34)/1 = -7 km/h

    Average acceleration = (-7 - 25)/3.5 = -32/3.5 = -9.14 km.h^2
