Hello everyone

I have bought a Draft N Wireless PCI Adapter for my computer, and i am trying to install the drivers that i have been given with the CD.

The CD that i was given says that it is compatible with Vista so i thought everything was going to install fine.

It then tells me there are no Drivers on the CD (And yes it is the right CD, and it says it has the drivers inside a folder which i found)

To make it even more exciting vista tells me there are no drivers located on the computer or disk, and tells me to check online. I checked for the drivers online and had no luck. I have vista ultimate 64bit. I have tried the TP-Link website and successfully downloaded some driveres for vista but failed to install correctly.........BUGGER

It is a TP-LINK Draft N Wireless PCI Adapter

Model no. TL-WN951N

Any help or directions would be appreciated

Thanks guys and girls

  1. I took a look at the website, and you're right... there's no help there.  Makes me know that I'll never get anything from this company!

My best guess is that they only support the 32-bit versions of xp and vista.  There's nothing there to differentiate between 32 and 64 bit drivers, which makes me think they don't have two versions.  I've run into this with software companies, but never with hardware.

I think you should return it. If you're unable to do that, contact the manufacturer, ask about the 64-bit issue, and complain until they give you a refund.

  2. Try downloading the driver from their site:

    http://www.tp-link.com/support/download....

  3. Sounds like there are no 64-bit drivers for the card. If they aren't there, it won't be able to use the card.
