66 Mustang drag car?

The question is, a guy has a 66 mustang with a 302, it was made for the drag strip, but its a street legal car at the moment. It's loud, very loud, has regular road gears did have 4.11. Manual valve body, The engine alone was around 5,000 dollars. It also has a cage, and the suspension is all good.It will go too, It looks all factory, which it nearly is. The thing is, the guy is wanting 8,000, is that a reasonable price for a 66 stang with a built engine and all the other goodies?

if it has no problem and its built up that is cheap buy it. but if it has some problems its about average.
