  1. Use order of operations for the first 6.

    Ex: Number 1

    8+(5-2)

    8+3=11

You can do the rest, just remember PEMDAS. (parenthesis, exponents, multiplication, division. addition, subtraction).

  2. Use PEDMAS to figure out what order to do things in.  Parentheses first, then exponents (your questions don't have those), then divisions, multiplications, additions, and subtractions.  For example, in the first problem, you would solve the stuff in parantheses first (5-2), so now your question is simply:

8+3, which I hope you know is equal to 11.

For question 7, turn the words (nickels, dimes, etc) into numbers so you have 3x5 (the amount of money she has in nicketls), + 2x25 + 2x10 + 7x1
