Question:

6x9's Fitted, Wiring is 'correct', RCA plugged - Yet no sound?!?

Having recently bought Kenwood 6x9 speakers and fitted them to the parcel shelf of my peugeot 206 i decided that to draw the most out of their 400-watt potential i would buy a new amp. I opted for a Mutant 4-Channel amplifer so that it could handle my 12" Sony Xplod Sub too. This is where the problems start - I Wired in the amplifer to the same specification as shown on multiple diagrams, even spending a small fortune on a complete new wiring kit. However, i then followed this successful install by wiring my 6x9's and then putting the RCA cable in place (which, am i correct, sends the sound to the amplifier?) but yet there is no sound at all coming from my 6x9's?! Any idea as to what this problem is? And yes, there is power running to the amp; I have checked this hundreds of times which is why it is so frustrating! Any help would be appreciated, thank you - Murray.

  1. hey murray not a big problem

have you connected the remote turn on of the amp to the head unit? check this first

have you set the gains ? check this second

have you tried changing the rca cable? check this also

other than that the amp may be faulty...but try those things you'll get the problem fixed in no time
