Question:

7,500 tax credit for previously owning a mobile home?

Me and my wife currently live in a mobile home. It is in her and her x-husbands names. We closed on our construction loan a couple weeks ago and it will be done on October. I am a first time home buyer and the mobile home is on family owned land so there is no deed in my wifes name. Would we still qualify for this tax credit?

  1. There is no such tax credit.  Part of the newest housing bill has a $7,500 tax credit but it has nothing to do with mobile homes or previous residences.  .
