  1. 7

  2. 7 girls 7 backpacks (same information)

7 cats in each of 7 back packs (49)

    49 cats each with 7 kittens (343)

now... 343 felines each with 4 legs (assuming)

    there are 1372 legs total.

  3. try 70 on for size,,,,,,

  4. Oh! One of my teachers gave this to us for extra credit on a quiz! When people try to figure it out, some of them forget that cats have 4 legs instead of 2. I forgot the answer, but it was a really big number and I dont feel like figuring it out again lol.

    Edit:

I think the 1st person has it right

  5. Can't find my calculator....

  6. 238

    7 x 2 legs = 14

    7 cats (7 x 4 ) = 28

    7 kittens each  (28 x 7) = 196

    total = 238

Not sure how many legs a backpack has!

  7. 72 or including girls legs 86!

  8. 322

  9. 10990.

    7 girls x 2           =14.

    49 backpacks.

    343 cats x 4       =1372.

    2401 kittens x 4  =9604.

    14 + 1372 + 9604 =  10990.

  10. 7 backpacks x 7 cats = 49 cats on each girl

    49 x 7 kittens = 343 cats

    343 cats x 7 girls  = 2401

    2401 x 4 legs = 9604 cat legs + 7 x 2 = 14 girl legs = 9618

+ 2 legs for the driver = 9620 legs in total

  11. Is it 7 backpacks each or 7 between them?

    DCD

  12. the answer being 406 legs

  13. 238    ?

    sorry 1582 ? another guess

  14. 210

  15. there are 72 legs

  16. 10990

  17. 98...unless the backback has legs...then...well...how many legs can a backback possibly have?!?:)

  18. 7 girls = 14 legs

    7 backpacks with 7 cats = 49 cats x 4 = 196

    49 cats x 7 kittens = 343 kitten x 4 = 1,372

    Grand total:  1,582

It is assumed that each girl has only one backpack and not 7.

If each of the 7 girls had 7 backpacks each, then the answer is 10,990.

  19. 9618

  20. Because of the comma after "backpacks" and before "each" I am taking it to mean 7 backpacks total, not 7 for each girl.

    7 backpacks x 7 cats = 49 cats

7 kittens per cat.  So 49 x 7  would be the number of kittens.

But we can streamline and say 8 x 49 as that would be the number of kittens and cats combined.    That will be 392.

    392 x 4 = 1568 cat & kitten legs.

Plus 14 girl legs (mmmm..girl legs  LOL)

    1568 + 14 = 1582.

    So that's my answer...1582

  21. Were you going to St. Ives, perchance?

  22. 238

  23. There are 10,990 legs total.

    7 girls x 2 legs = 14 girl legs

    343 cats x 4 legs = 1372 cat legs

    2401 kittens x 4 legs = 9604 kittens legs

    14 girl legs + 1372 cat legs + 9604 kittens legs = 10,990 legs

  24. just guessing but 9632 or 10876. Driving me crazy would love to know the correct answer

  25. 406 i think

because 7 times 2 for the girls is 14.  Then 7 times 7 equals 49 times 4 for the cat legs which is 296.  Then add the kitten legs which is also 296 and there you go, 406

  26. good one tall paul!!!
