  1. How exciting for you!  If I were there, I'd see the Bavarian towns in the Munich suburbs, the many museums & art galleries, palaces, royal avenue & theaters, Marienplatz and Stachus, & The Peterskirche close to Marienplatz is the oldest church of the inner city.

  2. I live in Pisa and I have traveled through Munich Airport before.  It is actually by far my favorite European airport.  It is big, clean and for the most part quiet.  They have free coffee and tea set up all through out the airport so that is a plus.  I suggest bringing a book and some euro to shop with.  I am a 21 year old female and I felt completely safe there.  Have fun.

  3. Hire a cab and go to a club. It is safe, but not too many people around speak english.

  4. find a cozy corner and keep kissing ur girl friend or have s*x with her

  5. Go to the Hofbrauhaus. It's a beerhall. Lots of tourists and good beer. Have fun!

  6. Munich=Muenchen=München airport(Flughafen)-

Ditch you carry-on luggage at left luggage at Munich airport(Service Center, central area or Terminal 2 arrival area). If you have carryon-

Take the train into Munich and get off at Marienplatz.  You can buy a day ticket good for trips on all trams, busses and local trains(S trains to and from airport and U trains).  Buy a partner day ticket (good for groups of 2-5 people).  You need a day ticket that covers the entire transportation network in Munich = Entire network (Gesamtnetz).  Munich and the immediate surrounding area is divided into four zones - white(inner), green, yellow, red(airport).

The price of the partner day tickets that covers all 4 zones - "All zones/Gesamtnetz (entire network)" is 17 euros.

You can buy this ticket at the ticket machines at the airport.  The machines do have English as an option.

Take the S1 or S8 train to Marienplatz. It is about a 50 minute trip.  So taking into account the train trip to and from Munich and time finding your way around the airport/buying tickets, you'll have about 3.5-4 hours to see a little of Munich.  By the way, all S-lines run through Munich Hauptbahnhof(main station) and Marienplatz.

    Sites to see -

Marienplatz- the Glockenspiel.  Cafe Glockenspiel is a nice place to have coffee and apple strudel - located in the building directly across the Glockenspiel on the 4th or 5th floor.

Viktualienmarkt - buy a beer from the Spaten vendor and something to eat and sit at one on the long wooden benches under the canopy of trees and enjoy!  I love Viktualienmarkt.  It's a couple minutes walk from Marienplatz.

    Frauenkirche

Kaufingerstrasse & Neuhauserstrasse - main shopping streets with several restaurants with outdoor seating.  You have to try Augustiner beer.  It is the best!  That's if you are a beer drinker.

Residenz - No time to tour,  but you can enjoy the it from the outside.

Hofgarten - About a 15 min. walk from Marienplatz.  Nice garden area to take a stroll.

Hofbrauhaus - if you have time.  At least walk through it - Many people/tourist do.

Englischer Garten - if you have time.  This might be a little out of your way.  You'd have to plan it.  Have a beer in the Chinese beer garden - Chinesischer Turm.

There is a tourist information office at Marienplatz.  Get a map of the city and any directions you may need.

And Munich is totally safe.  As in any large city anywhere, just be aware of your personal belongings.  Don't loose your passports to pickpockets.  And learn a couple German phrases - Thankyou, You're welcome, Do you speak English, Where is the......etc...

    Here's Munich's top 10 sites/tips.  You can't see it all. But you can pick a few - http://www.discover-munich.info/sightsee...

  7. Munich's a nice city. (Muenchen, in German) Either go for a walk, or hop a Strassenbahn (aka S-Bahn, literally "street train"...kinda like the trolleys in San Francisco, from what I understand.) and get off if you see something cool.

Also naps are great time killers ;)
