7 month old grinding teeth.....?

Question

I have a son who is almost 7 months old and he has just discovered that he can make noises by grinding his teeth. He only has 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with infant teeth grinding and if it is going to become a habit or is it just a passing phase?

My son does it all day long.. it drives me crazy, but it's normal. It's something new, he's experimenting, and he will stop eventually. :)

Very usual-as you say, he has just discovered it-he's enjoying it and will do so until his next discovery......dear little man.

My little guy likes to test out his biters too, when he occasionally does this, I usually grab something for him to bite on and he forgets about the fun of enamel against enamel. Its a horrible sound though isn't it?

My 7.5 month old did this and it lasted about 2 weeks! Drove me nuts..then her top teeth cut through almost all the way and she has since stopped but I just hope that it stays that way.
