7 months ago i hit a company work van in a parking lot?

now the owner finally called me back 7 months later. i sold the vehicle that was involved in the incident. what am i supposed to do? Can he still file a report 7 months later? or is he SOL? by the way i live in minnesota

  1. Doesn't matter if you sold the vehicle or not, you hit him, you owe for his damages.  Give him your insurance information so he can get his damage fixed.


  2. Did you report this to your insurance company?  It does not matter that you sold your vehicle.  If you are legally liable for the damage to his vehicle, then you need to reimburse him.  

    The statute of limitations in Minnesota for Property Damage is six years.

  3. If you haven't already done so, report the loss to your insurance company.

    He can still file a claim. The Statute of Limitations in MN is 6 years to file a property damage claim.
