  1. Go TK!

  2. Oh Danny boy.  Yah still mad at me?  I'm not superstitious.  They are both destined but for different reasons.

  3. Personally, I think TK's already pretty much written himself into the history books as one of IndyCar's best.  The only thing missing from his resumé is an Indy 500 win - to which I predict he will have one in the next 3 years.  However, with his age, and with his family now including a little one, I'm not quite sure how much longer he will be racing IndyCars (though I could easily see him going to sports cars once he leaves open-wheels).  Here's to another 5-7 years of the 7-11 Green Slurpee motoring around the track.

Now, for Danica.  There's no question she's got driving talent.  She tends to be conservative at times, and overly agressive at times, but overall, she's consistent.  She's driven appx. 55 races in IndyCar, and failed to bring it home, I believe, 6-7 times total - and half of those weren't even her fault.  She's now got a win under her belt, so she's proven she can win.  (yeah - I know - it was a "fuel mileage" race - look, she crossed the finish line first - end of discussion).  She has loads of confidence, and an edge of brashness.  That's what a good driver MUST have in today's IndyCars.  I honestly believe we have not seen Danica's first and last trip to Victory Lane.  She's with the right team, she's got quality sponsors, she's got a popularity unseen before in IndyCars, and she's not bad on the eyes.

It's not coincidence AGR has both cars #7 & #11 ... don't forget ... there was one year (or at least one race) where both car numbers were sponsored by 7-11, to which I believe Michael Andretti drove #7, and T.K. drove #11.  I'd have to look it up, but I'm pretty confident.  As far as superstition ... I do find it rather funny that green cars have been considered taboo for the longest of time at the Indy 500.  I believe only 2-3 green cars have ever won - a few from the early days, and the '66 race with Jim Clark.

    Just my 2-cents, plus interest.
