I have a circular saw that calls for a 7 1/2" blade. I need a blade to cut concrete and the closest size I can find is 7". Will the 7" blade work on the 7 1/2" saw? Any knowledgeable input will be appreciated. Thanx!

  1. Look at the hole size in the middle. If it is the same it will fit. Another thing to consider is that the cement dust will ruin your saw. Get a cheap one for this. Or you can rent a concrete saw, even better.

  2. yes...that just means you can not use a blade bigger than 7 1/2 inches..you can even use a 5 inch blade if you want...but your cut wont bee as deep because of the body size of the motor and the saw guard

  3. sure it will, just make sure you allow for the diff. when you set the blade depth, also make sure the arbor is the same or has an adaptor(hole in the middle of the blade),other than that ,,,happy cutting

  4. yeah, if the key-hole on the blade matches and/or the shaft on the saw matches your blade then you are good to go.  You just loose that 1/2" of cut.
