hi. i am trying to make a counter using a 7 segment led. I plan on having 3 buttons with the display (a reset, up, and down button). Actually there will be two 7 segment led's on the actual device. I have found many schematics but dont know where to begin as in the parts i need to make this and how to exactly load the firmware.
Also, I need a good place to buy these parts.. I could look for them at radioshack if they are available there but i dont know if they are or not.
What I plan on doing is having 2 of these 7 segment led's connected together and the buttons will be used to keep score. for example, one person scores, they push the up button and it goes up to 1, and if they lose one or accidentally over press the UP button, then they can press the down button bringing it back to 0. and when they are done playing, they can press the reset button to reset the counter to 0..
