  1. My daughter stoped at about 8 weeks. At that age their body goes through a change. She went 9 days without a poo. I was scared and called the doctor. I was told that was normal for around that age. She is now 4.5 months and will go 3-4 times a day one day then not go for 3-4 days. In breastfed babies thats normal from what I've been told. Dont panic. If you are concerned get in touch with a doctor or nurse, but it doesnt sound like an emergency going from what I've been trough.

  2. My fist baby only pood once every 5-10 days.  M second would every 2-5 days.  It's common.

  3. Your child needs to be seen by a doctor.

  4. If your baby is crying and pulling his/her legs up to their stomach, try this first.  Take a rectal thermometer, put a small amount of vaseline on the end of it.  Insert the tip into your baby's bottom.  If your baby is constipated, this will help.  Just the tip though, don't stick too much in.  If the baby shows no signs of being in pain, I wouldn't be too concerned as long as it doesn't go on for too long.

  5. take her/ or him to the dr. that aint right!

  6. I hope you haven't waited 7 weeks to be worried about this! My baby also became constipated, and this is some what normal. You should still bring your baby in to the doctors today if possible!

  7. 7 weeks ! you need to take the baby to the doctor as that doesnt seem normaly. all the best xox

  8. It depends on how long a baby doesnt go and if they are breast feed or formula feed. My suggestion is to try a rectal temperature usually that helps baby p**p. If it has been a long time, more then 4 days, I would call the doctor also. I know my little girl goes about twice a day, then would go 24 hours without pooping and I get nervous but usually it isnt anything to worry about. Good luck!

EDIT: I dont think your baby hasnt p**p in 7 weeks, if that is the case go to the ER. As long as the baby is eating well, and growing, no need to be alarmed, but the doctor can always give the best peace of mind.

  9. Are you fully breastfeeding mom? If so it is normal as long as the poo is not hard not to worry or try formula milk.

  10. "Some breastfed babies, after the first three to four weeks of life, may suddenly change their stool pattern from many each day, to one every three days or even less.  Some babies have gone as long as 20 days or more without a bowel movement.  As long as the baby is otherwise well, and the stool is the usual pasty or soft, yellow movement, this is not constipation and is of no concern.  No treatment is necessary or desirable, because no treatment is necessary or desirable for something that is normal."

  11. GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP....Up to 14 days doctors do not get worried because babies (especially breastfed babies) can absorb their feedings entirely with no waste afterwards...you need to get the baby to the doctor right away just to rule out anything else...
