obviously I'm not proud of it so please spare me your judgement......

I first started with an oregon transfer but decided to explore other possiblilities because I didnt know what I wanted to major in...I've taken biology, math, writing and others...I'm really interested in respiratory therapy after some thought. I went through several ideas and didnt really examinhe the careers in biology, writing and psychology. I feel like nothing inspires me.

so, I think I want to do respiratory therapy and I need the funding to do it, to pay for the class and some of my rent....how do I get loans and financial aid to pull this off...I also still want to get a degree in something but nothing seems to really inspire me.

  1. Apply for financial aid.  Things change over the years and you may now be eligible.  Apply on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Go talk to a career counselor at your college.  They have interest tests you can take which may point you in a direction you haven't thought of.

  2. You go to the Financial Aid office at your local school, like half the student body does.  You get a student loan, and study and work and keep on working until you get a degree, and then you go get a job and pay your loans.  It's not s**y or glamorous, it's boring, but the process works.  There's millions of us out here that have done it, and millions in the pipeline behind us who are doing the same thing.  Climb on, or get left behind.

  3. Consider a degree in communications (it is the new liberal arts). After 7 years of straight classes you should have enough to pull together a degree in something. As for financial aid you are probably stuck I think they cut you off after a while. You should consider working full time and going to school part time (as you still aren't sure what you want to do for a living). Get the base classes done for any degree you should be able to add on a major later.

  4. There are so many uses for old secured personal loans, and the chances are you will be able to get one quickly and easily. It's a common idea that only homeowners can get loans from finance companies. That just isn't true, most people can apply for, and receive an unsecured personal all kinds of uses. You can get loans from a few<!-- hundred pounds, up to £25,000, unsecured. These loans can be used to buy a new car, a holiday abroad, a new kitchen, the latest cell phone available, or just about anythingelse. It is a true that you will probablypay more interest than a homeowner who takes out a secured loan. But on the other hand, they have to take out a second mortgage to get their hands on the money.

With an unsecured loan, you don't need anything, apart from the application form and a good broker. All kinds of people can apply for unsecured loans, tenants, young people, retired people, people with good and bad credit, you can even get a same-->day loan, and some companies let you apply online. The interest rate you pay will be made very clear to by the broker before you sign anything. As will the amount of the monthly payment, and how long you have to make those payments for. Any quality broker will go out of his way to make sure you understand these rules.
