Are we always loyal to our country ?

Are we paying all our taxes ?

Are we not using short cuts to achieve our personal interests ?

Are we supporting any of the poor people around us ?

Are we taking any initiatives to stop corruption ?

Are we not bribing to achieve certain personal goal ?

If even half of us do half of the above activities our country certainly would progress. Otherwise we will continue to live as it is now.

after every night a morning has to come  and will come

we are on the edge of devloping and we will devlop by 2020 which is the aim of our past president abdul kalam .

no my dear this is not true but the people who lives below poverty line their data only show this, as they give this data only to get government subsidy like food subsidy, unemployment doll, etc lot of government schemes are there . this is the fact i will give you some interesting facts.

indian government direct subsidy to the people is whopping 22 lakhs crore. which is the 2%of gdp.

can you get a person for a 1000 salary in india in 2008 no dear it is not possible .

yes i agree that there are some who because of laziness get  below 1000 rs per month .

for a un eduacted person also there is work in india now a construction worker get perday 150 to 300 depend on the city or town or village. a field worker (farmer ) get a minimum wage of 50 to 100 depend upon the place.

a single person cannot live with 1000 rs per month earning in india as inflation rate is near about 5%

our gdp growth is near about 8.5 % from last four years that itself take  near about 30% of population from below poverty line

yes there are some 40 to 45 % people are below poverty line but not below 1000 per month income as you say

i also agree with the swapan answers above which is the right way of thinking . we can spend lot of time surfing the net or chatting  but when our social responsibility come then we tell i hate this peoples and their work as they do only to get the fame.

a whopping 30 percent of indian population is having or will have mobile phone by the end of this year. as the 30 million mobile phone connaction  already crossed .

Where did u get those stats from? India is progressing, and so is the US. We just don't have our priorities straightened out!

We are progressing. It could be much worse. But there is a lot to be done. The Brits ruined everything and took all our artifacts... >:( Now when you go to a famous palace or something, everything is stripped and gone away....
