700,000 applicants for London Olympics tickets to find out tomorrow about seats
700,000 lucky fans of the London 2012 Olympic Games will finally discover their seating arrangements tomorrow, June 22. The organizers of the event, Locog, will be sending out a mass email to the eager applicants on Wednesday.
The 700,000 lucky few were selected out of a ballot that consisted of numerous applicants. After the draw, 1.2 million Olympics fans were left without a chance to get tickets. However, these candidates will have another chance to see if Lady Luck is on their
side on Friday, when the ticket sales will be open again. Considering the staggering amount of people who are interested in the prospect of coming to witness the 2012 Olympics, the empty slots are expected to be sold out within a few hours.  
Out of all the hopeful fans who could apply for the sale of tickets in the second opening of the ticket sales on Friday, only some will be successful in obtaining seats. The applicants have the good fortune of being the lucky few will be informed within
24 hours.
Up until now, the tickets for a total of 21 sports have been sold out. The remaining sports have a variable amount of availability. Nine sports have been announced to have a low availability of tickets. These sports include athletics, archery, beach volleyball,
fencing and table tennis among others. Apart from that, 15 sports have good availability. Among these is volleyball as well as football.
The sports event is scheduled to take place in London and will last from 27 July till the 12 August of next year. London has already had the honour of playing host to the Olympics twice. The first time was in 1908 while the second time the Olympics took
place in 1948. After hosting the 2012 Olympics, London will be the first city to have hosted the prestigious sports event for a total of three times.
London was able to earn the opportunity after successfully bidding in Singapore in 2005. The other cities that London outbid were Moscow, New York City, Madrid and Paris.
