Question:

720p or 1080i for movies on PS3?

I have a PS3 connected by HDMI to my Samsung LN-S3251D which has 720p and 1080i. Which setting should I put it on when I watch Blu ray movies? For games I have it on 720p but I dont no what to put it on for movies? thanks

  1. For blu ray use 1080i it will show true capability of your tv and blu ray

    For cable use 720p, because no company is capable of broadcasting in 1080 yet so no point of using 1080 setting


  2. 1080i, though you may not notice a difference.  Blu-Ray @ 720p with a decent contrast ratio is stellar.
