  1. The auxiliary power unit, or APU in the Boeing 727 is a small turbine engine mounted between the main wheel wells. it draws air from the wheel well area for combustion and cooling and exhausts through louvers in the top of the right wing root.  Most of the accessories are mounted on the left hand side of the unit.

  2. between the main landing gear.

  3. John B knows some pretty detailed stuff about airliners and the business, and has a way of expressing himself that does not sound like a poser to me.

There's too much of everybody calling everybody a poser on here, and let's all cut it out, okay?  Most of us are who we say we are, or else we have not made any claims that call for name-calling.

So let's focus on the questions and the answers, okay?  If you want to know where the APU is hiding in the nearest B727, look it up yourself, instead of asking people you don't trust.

    Okay?

  4. yep. exterior control and fire bottle's in the left wheel  well. don't go under there though when it's running. she be  loud.
