Does this show how little respect the nhl gets. From the July 28th Sporting News

An excerpt on Flyers wing Mike Knuble: "Philaelphia is one of five teams-Chicago, Washington, Calgary and Anaheim are the others with serious cap issues. And that makes the 76ers prime canidates for a cost cutting move especially considering G.M Paul Holmgren loves forward prospect Claude Giroux"

Wow. Last I checked the 76ers were a memberof the NBA. And Mike Knuble and Holmgren as well as Girouux were employed by the Flyers. And this ain't no small paper. It's the Sporting News. Surprised no one caught this?

I lost a great deal of respect for the Sporting News when they decided to expand their NASCAR coverage and halfass hockey coverage. It gets a little old when the media tries in vain to shove a lame non-sport like NASCAR down people's throats. As far as the typo, it goes to show that the decreased journalism standards extend beyond the boundaries of the network newstations and CNN. Welcome to Sports Illustrated territory, Sporting News!

Sixers, Flyers.....it doesn't matter. We've already seen the only parade Philly is going to see for quite a while. The Soul.....woohoo.....

In all honesty, I am impressed by the moves that Ed Stefanski has made. And the return to the classic duds doesn't hurt either.
