Question:

780 evga mobo A0 error code help!?

recently the motherboard has been posting the A0 error and the computer wont boot up, i tried resetting bios and it boots up butwhen im in windows after a few mins it shuts down, so the only way it will boot up if i keep resetting the bios otherwise nothing

when i reset and boot windows in safe mode w/net it seems to be working fine but itd in safe mode

what could be the problem?

i just bought this 3 months ago

it still under warranty but willl it be covered by the warranty?

it had no physical damage to it

  1. eh, hmmm. maybe a Driver problem. or even a virus. it's got to be one of those two, unless your motherboard is broken. but yeah your warrenty should cover it.


  2. Seems to be a common problem with the 780i boards. When you reset the bios make sure you go in and configure the ram-at its rated speed, latencies and voltage-default settings may not have it configured right. If it boots and runs fine while in safe mode then I'd try different hardware drivers. Some believe its a video issue--others think its related to the ram. I've heard that Evga has good phone support. May want to give them a call.
