787 crew rests?

is the 787 going to have crew rests? In other words, are pilots going to have shifts or not? ...I'm hoping not

I would say so. Since they are meant for use on long flights

On any flight over 8 hours, there have to be extra crew (and over 16 hours, two sets).

787 crew rests are in the crown, above the passenger ceiling.  Attendant rests are aft, flight crew rests are forward.
