  11. I home schooled my daughter for 8th grade due to moving, and the school that she would have been attending was way behind what she had been doing.Friends of ours had been home schooling their 3 kids for 8 plus years and she gave me website to check out told me to find USED books/ I also pushed Literature, and had her read one book weekly with a book report or some project due at the end of the the following week. Sometime I'd have her just answer question.

Everyone is saying Saxon math but it much harder for us parents to teach because we arent' use to it's way of doing it unless you were taught that way. I used a Glencoe Algieba book. it allowed me interactive test on their site and other things.

Feel free to email me if you'd like more information. I still have some of the materials on my computer that I used.

  12. I do homeschooling with two of my kids. What we do is work through an Alternative Family Education program through the public schools. We have access to all of the books we need and meet with a teacher every three weeks to make sure we are on track and to set new goals. There are a lot of programs out there and resources available other than the program we go through.

Check out the link I have attached. It will put you in touch with people in your area to help you access the correct materials you need and more.

    Good luck!

  13. You've asked for input at least three times now.  Many members have answered you with good ideas.

    Aren't your parents helping you?

Go to the public library and check out some textbooks.  They also have lots of different types of educational media.

  14. There is a homeschool program called Odyssey Charter.

    heres the website:

    www.odysseyk12.org

    OR

    www.odysseyk12.org/k8

here you can sign up and see if there is an Odyssey school center near where you live! :D :D :D :D

  15. For Math I like "teaching Textbooks". Other famous ones are Abeka, Math U See, and Saxon.

English: wordly Wise is good. Also, Abeka Literature. I also like Institute in excellence in writing. Also what is good is "Total Language Plus", It's a combination of reading, spelling, vocabulary and language.

Other good brands are Bob Jones, Alpha Omega, and Switched on School house.

  16. Find an online school that offers accredited 7th and 8th grade programs.
