  1. Do it yourself! how will you learn if you don't?

  2. toaster for thermal, sound for stereo , eletrical a lightbulb, nuclear for bombs..., not sure for chemical sorry

  3. Since this is your homework, im only giving the basics... Thermal energy is used when u use the kettle to boil water. Chemical in your body when glucose releases energy. Electrical in most household appliances. Nuclear, i guess x-rays or you could say electricity comes from nuclear power stations. Sound energy comes from a radio speaker. Also, try to explain the energy conversions in each, that should give gud marks

  4. lamps

  5. Thermal:  Example is steam engine

    Thermal energy: Thermal energy is the use of heat as a source of energy. Thermal energy can be used directly or can be transformed into mechanical energy (using a steam engine) which can then be transformed into electrical energy. Thermal energy is usually measured in British thermal units (Btu).

    Chemical:  Examples burning wood and nuclear power plants

    Chemical energy is generated from chemical reactions in which the chemical bonds of a substance are broken and rearranged to form new molecules that can provide energy. Chemical energy can be transformed into thermal energy, mechanical energy, and electrical energy. Respective examples of these conversions include burning wood, digestion of food, and the chemical process used in nuclear power plants.

    Electrical:  Examples elevators and space heaters

    Electrical energy: Electrical energy is the flow of electrons along a circuit. The movement of electrons creates an electric current which can be connected to an end use like lighting or appliances. Electrical energy can also be transformed into mechanical energy (using an elevator) or thermal energy (by using a space heater). Conversely, mechanical, thermal, and other forms of energy can be converted to create electricity, as in wind turbines and biomass facilities respectively. Electrical energy is usually measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) or megawatt-hours (MW).

    Sound:  Examples musical instruments and hearing aids

    Equipment for generating or using sound includes musical instruments, hearing aids, sonar systems and sound reproduction and broadcasting equipment. Many of these use electro-acoustic transducers such as microphones and loudspeakers.

    Light:Example solar panels

    Light or Radiant energy: Radiant energy comes from a light source, such as the sun. Energy released from the sun is in the form of photons. These tiny particles, invisible to the human eye, move in a way similar to a wave. Radiant energy can be transformed into electrical energy using solar panels.

    Nuclear:  Examples nuclear reactors and atom bomb

    Nuclear energy can be man-made. Machines called nuclear reactors, parts of nuclear power plants, provide electricity for many cities. Man-made nuclear reactions also occur in the explosion of atomic and hydrogen bombs.

  6. sound = radio or iPod/ tv

    Nuclear= experimental weapons programs/ nuclear testing

    electrical= a heater

    thermal=keeping you warm

    light=lamp

    chemicals are used to develop new medicines and stuff like that

  7. I beleive thermal is for creating heat,chemical for maintaining our body chemestry,sound for creating music,light for creating life,nuclear for creating electricity;electricity for createing artificial light,artificial heat,t.v.,computers,SOUND, and so on;basically ; everything is connected to eachother in one way or another;I think that is what your teacher wants to hear is a logical eplanation of how important electricity and light is to us;without those two,we are screwed...

  8. thermal: keep us warm with appliances

    chem: chemistry is used for making ur medicine

    elect: electricity for our many appliances

    light: light helps u do so many things

    sound: ur ipod

    nuclear energy: bombing hiroshima and nagasaki

  9. In a loose sense, "thermal energy" is a term used to describe the energy content of a system related to heating effects, e.g. temperature increase or decrease. It usually is the energy in the earth which is used e.g in Scandanavia or Russia it is used for heating purposes such pools/ even houses.

    Since the industrial revolution, the burning of coal, oil, natural gas or products derived from them has been a socially significant transformation of 'chemical energy' into other forms of energy.

    'Electrical energy' is the electricity running in the house lighting up everything. It can be made from nuclear, thermal or chemical energy.

    Sound energy is neither room dependent nor distance dependent, like it is with sound pressure or sound intensity, sound energy belongs strictly to the sound source. Music sound (trumpet) and noise sound (excavator) both have the same sound energy of 0.3 watts.

    Nuclear Energy is energy due to the splitting or fusing of the nuclei of atom. In major parts of the world nowadays it is used to produce electricity whic in turn is used to run household items.
