  1. By Boyle's Law of gases, at constant temperature we have

    P1V1= P2V2

    so, 8*760 = 4*P2

    therfore, P2 = (8*760)/4 = 1520 mm. of Hg

  2. V1P1 = V2P2

    soo V1 = 8 liters P1 = 1 atm   V2 = 4 liters P2 =

    P2 = ( 8liters X 1atm)  /4liters = 2 atmospheres  =1520 mm Hg

  3. Pressure/ volume relationship is easy. If you halve the volume, you double the pressure. So the new pressure will be 1520mm Hg

    If you want the maths:

    P1V1 =P2V2

    760*8 = P2*4

    P2 = 760*8/4

    P2 = 760*2

    P2=1520mmHg
