Bought a house and have been near B.I.N primer sealer for paint, also after they finish sanding wall, I decided to clean up the dust.

Now I'm very worried with the exposure I put the baby through.

I was in the rooms for a few hours during the last two weekends.

Has anyone been exposed or have the same situation.

  1. Open windows, put a few high power fans in the upper rooms pushing air out  and you will find that the bad air will be removed from lower levels rather quickly

I wouldn't worry about it, but I get the fans in the windows before doing that again.

  2. Nothing to worry about. The fumes and the dust mean nothing to the baby it is completely encased and protected in the womb. Fumes from

paint these days are harmless compared to what they were like 50 years ago.

  3. I am about as smart as they get and have two arms and legs!  My parents where from the early sixties, actually the 40's but I was conceived in the early 60's.  I turned out perfectly normal and probably had lead based paint in my room for years...at least until I ate it all off!

  4. Low-level exposure isn't a problem.  As far as I'm aware it is only really an issue for women who are exposed regularly during pregnancy.  I painted two rooms in our house while I was pregnant.  I read up on it beforehand and the advice was to avoid getting paint on skin and to keep the room well-ventilated.  Also to take regular breaks - i.e. leave the room for some fresh air.  And don't have water in the room in case you drink the paint by mistake (wtf??)  Anyway, unless you were eating the dust and drinking the primer I think you're fine!

Good luck for the big arrival.
