I want to take a road trip in late october early november. I have 8 days to kill but I don't know what I want to see or where I want to go. I'm not sure how far I can go before I have to come back. All I know is that I want to get out and see this country, even if it's a little bit at a time. I will be leaving from San Diego, and obviously need to make it back. I will be using my own car (2006 solstice) and it will only be me. Any and all good ideas are welcome. Thanks!

  1. You want to see the natural or the city?  You like landscape or the ocean ?

For best landscape trip. Drive toward Las Vagas, go to the Grand canyon, follow highway 89 and go to Vermillion cliffs monument, Grand staircase Escalante National monument, Bryce Canyon national park..   Capital reef national park. Arches National park.

On the way back, go to Zion national park. Lake mead national recration area.

If you like ocean....just drive along the coast of california.

If you want to stay in a big city....No doubt would be Las Vegas...cheap eat, hotel, shows, and hooker. lol..

  3. In October and November, a drive up through Northern California and Oregon would be gorgeous.  My husband and I always take a little road trip in October up to Napa and other parts of Northern California we're from Orange County).  The trees and hills are beautiful that time of year.  And they should have a lot of "u pick em" farms with berries and pumpkins at that time.  So fun!
