cant really get one much bigger due to garden size also I know that they say no more than 1 child at a time but as everyone knows this never happens at home so is 8ft big enough for 2 x 11 yr olds or 1 11 yr old and a six year old?

  1. Well, i'm 14 and my brother's 9, and we are always togethor on our 8ft trampoline! We have never been hurt! as long as they are sensible AND know to stay on their own side then i'm sure they will be safe as safe can be! LOL

  2. i would say get it a little bigger.

you always want to have enough room on trampolines so that you dont get bounced off the trampoline.

  3. Don't waste your time and money any further on this.

I have worked in a hospital for many years and  have seen many

broken bones, sutures (stitches), missing teeth, and yes even a child with a broken neck due to one of these contraptions.

I highly recommend that you find another form of safer amusement for your children, but if you do proceed on with the purchase, keep these things in mind:

    always supervise your children

purchase the netting that keeps the child from "going overboard"

only let ONE child on at a time.

Good luck! Maybe take the kids to the sporting goods store and let them explore alternate, safer modes of amusement...

  4. This is the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation on trampolines:

"Despite all currently available measures to prevent injury, the potential for serious injury while using a trampoline remains. The need for supervision and trained personnel at all times makes home use extremely unwise.

The trampoline should not be used at home, inside or outside. During anticipatory guidance, pediatricians should advise parents never to purchase a home trampoline or allow children to use home trampolines.

The trampoline should not be part of routine physical education classes in schools.

The trampoline has no place in outdoor playgrounds and should never be regarded as play equipment.

The limited use of trampolines under direct supervision of physical therapists, athletic trainers, or other appropriately trained individuals for specific medical conditions, including conditioning and/or rehabilitation of injuries, is not addressed in this statement. The limited use of trampolines in supervised training programs (eg, gymnastics, diving, and other competitive sports), should include the design and behavioral recommendations that follow. "

  5. LITTLE BIGGER

  6. if im getting the size right

    it shouldn't be a problem

everyone always avoids the rules at the end
