8 months old and fussy?

I am working with an at-home day care mom. There is an 8 month old boy who screams a good deal. You can not walk away from him long enough to help anyone else for a brief second. He does not sleep after he is given a bottle (of breast milk) and when he goes down for a nap he only sleeps 30 minutes. Come to find out he wakes up at night too. Any suggestions on what to do for the kid or ideas as to what is going on with it?

he is probably teething...do you know whether or not he has any teeth?  the first ones are usually the worst.  if not, his mom may want to take him to the doctor...it could be a number of things but i would need more info.

well it could be several things he could be teething try giving him a cold wet wash cloth to chew on make sure it's clean and wring it out realy good or the brest milk might not be enough for him any more and he's hungry you might wht to suggest to the mother to start him on baby food or it could be that the breast milk is disagreeing with him he should go to the doctors he might need a soy based formula instead
