8 on Act essay. is that a good score?

i want to go to texas a&m.

i got an 8 out of 12 and was wondering if it is good.

i got a 28 math and 29 reading and 27 overall.

That is a fairly good score. I believe that is in the 80th percentile range. The raw score of 27 over all puts you right in the middle 50% of attending freshmans' scores. A&M's acceptence rate of 76% puts you at great odds for acceptance.
