My 8 week old has had a couple of random evenings where he just cries quite hard for no apparent reason, we check him throughly to make sure there's nothing wrong that we can see, but I wonder if he has started teething? I have noticed that he now chews on his bottle nipple while he's feeding from it. Other than that, there are no signs of teething.

  1. he could be teething my son had four teeth by the time he was 4 months old.

  2. Better the bottle nipple than yours. LOL He may have begun teething.

  3. he may have begun teething- also, if you have been adding baby rice to his formula to thicken it, it may be too thick to go thru the hole in the nipple.. sometimes you have to get a safety pin, heat it up over the flame on the stove and open up the nipple more...pretty big...

since he's 8 weeks, it's a good chance he's teething... but you have to take into account that he's figuring out how things are working. babies are still working on their reflexes still as a newborn, and right now his main focus is on food... so i'd say he's teething and figuring out how to work his mouth to get ready for more food...

  4. hmmmm thats odd...baby are different so i dunno
