  1. Well sometimes children act a little wierd....he might just be going through a phase. Encourage him to play some mind games for kids or make him eat almonds...they improve memory

  2. I'd say he's a kid and leave it at that!

and being absent minded?! again - he's 8! how much of an attention span do you expect from an 8 year old?

  3. Don't worry it's probably he just forgot your name like all kids usually do. It's probably because he didn't see you for 3 weeks and forgot your name. For E.G all kids remember there parents name because they see them every day but some children forget other peoples name because they didn't see them long. Even adults forget sometimes people names if they havn't seen a person like for six years or something like that.

  4. Well, I totally agree with Dame! Young kids tend to forget a lot of things in there life.

Like me when I was 8 I forgot my Towel and Bathers at the beach all the time! And I could never remember any ones name!

  5. Please do not think I am been rude - but given his age, you may not actually be a really interesting valued thing in his life right now (even though I am sure he adores you when he is with you).  What he is doing is what all children his age do - giving brain space to things he is interested in.

Absent minded, from whose perspective?  Remeber you are viewing his behaviour from the expectations of an adult.  A child of 3 years of age is going to appear to be absent minded - particularly since they have an extermely short attention span.

I would not be overly concenred.
