I know this sweet little 8 year old girl who just loves to spend time with me. She is very open to me and asks a lot of questions. Lately she has been asking a lot of questions about development and has just started to show signs of breast development. Her mom is a bit unstable and she isn't comfortable talking with her as she does me. She also loves to read. Can anyone recommend a good book about development for a 8 year old girl. It has to be pretty simple because she is only eight, and I don't want her to freak out. Thanks in advance.

  1. "Secret Girls' Business"  By Fay Angelo, Heather Pritchard and Rose Stewart

It worked in my household for my 10 year old twins.

    Good luck!

  2. I hate to be paranoid... but my first thought is that this is not your territory... A girls development should be discussed with her parents or a doctor.... If her mom is unstable, then you should still have a chat with her and make sure that she is ok with you assisting her daughter in this.. It's a touchy subject and if you are not "family" then you may want to step back a bit..

  3. Learning about the body by Jo Ellen Moore......

Cat in the hat/inside your outside..by Tish Rab/a.Ruiz.

    amazon or local library.

  4. Its great to be eight!
