8 yr old son with some bowel problems...?

This is something that I hoenstly don't want to discuss but I need some insight. My 8 yr old is always have p**p marks (more than skid marks) in his boxers. It has come to the point that within the last 3 weeks I tell him several times a day to go take a shower and change his clothes b/c he smells of p**p. I am taking him to the Dr. but I don't want anyone to assume that he is lazy b/c he isn't. This is really bothering him. It's bringing him to tears and he doesn't understand why. He has a lot of medical problems (arthiritis, very bad eye sight, asthma and a few others), but this is something that he feels like others may end up talking about. Not sure what's going on. any helpful insight would be great!

It sounds like your son may have very low muscle tone and it could just be a case of breaking wind.   But because he may be low tone, then it would be like he was "following through" each time he broke wind.  Suggest this to the doctor, if it is not the case then perhaps there is a problem with his back passage (a**s), and it is not tight enough.  Hope you get this problem sorted out, it must be very upsetting for your son.  My son has low muscle tone and when he needs to go for a poo, he must get there quickly or it can come out, even if he is clenching as tight as he can.  His low muscle tone is associated with his condition.  GOOD LUCK

If it's a diarea problem then try some imodium ad or something.

If someone's sticking something up in there then this could also cause it. If so I'd find out who and nail them.

Or maybe he needs to have his colon clensed with some caster oil or something.

Yes the lady above me could be right about the muscles he if he doesn't ride a bike then maybe he could use a stationary bike ( exerciser bike ) to help build them up.
