80's Rock & Roll Surprise Theme Party?

Question

Okay, so my friend and I are planning a surprise party for our other friend. She loves the 80's so we figured it'd be 80's themed.

What could we do to decorate a basement in 80's style?

And what sort of things could we do for entertainment?

Download and print things from movies- Lost Boys, Back to the Future, ET,

Hang old vinyl records ( from thrift stores)

Use bandannas- think Steven Tyler and Brett Michaels,

Have pink floyd the wall playing in the background.

Southern Rock- think Kid Rock and Pam Anderson.

Lots of Madonna, Crue, 38 special, prince...

Just have fun!

Use neon splatter paint across huge sheets of paper and hang them on the walls.  Have an 80's Karaoke bar with mullet wigs and "flock of seagull wigs" for people to wear while they sing.  Make 80s music compilation CDs for people to take home or a list to download.

I would see if you can come up with old posters of the movies that were popular in the eighties.  Like back to the future things like that.  Entertainment I would do things like the video games of that time pacman, astroids, donkey kong etc.  Of course the music and maybe use the music for a trivia game with movies and stuff like that.
