80's kid's movie about a lamb??

Question

This has been bugging me for a long time..... when I was a kid ( mid to late 80's) There was this movie about a lamb. The lambs mother was killed by some kind of beast that visited the village... so he left to get revenge. He ended up either being taught by this beast or fighting him. When he got back to the village none of the other lambs recognized him anymore because he had changed into a beast himself.

I want to think it had the word "bell" in the title..... and I think the title was the lamb's name???

any ideas.... or any ideas on how to search for this??
