My friend is turning 14 and her sister (who is also my friend) decided to do a surprise party for her. So I have to be part of her staff to help with the party.

dress like madona have leggings oh and cut the colars and sleeves off 80s rock tshirts also biker shorts. have music trivia and musical chairs with billy idol oh you can dress like him too. and none of the things you listed for decor in the party look up stars from the 80s seen in _________ night club and deck it like that even put posters of the most famous 80s stars but have the edges ripped but no streamers semi punk was sort of the sesighn trust me i had an 80s party!

go to a goodwill and try to find some big bright tee shirts black skirts and big belts and theres not alot of decoration you can do, and play spin the bottle or truth or dare. those are fun 80s games .tell her i said happy birthday lol :D

You could have an old school prom.  have all the girls wear those crazy 80's prom dresses and play 80's dance music.  You could set the food up like a prom with punch and stuff on one of those long tables.  It would be a lot of fun!  The girls could probably get dresses from their moms!

I have an 80s party every year and they are so fun!!!!

there are tons of styles from the 80s- ponytail on the side, krimped hair, banana clips, ratted hair in a wave, feathered hair...clothes- neon stuff, acid washed jeans, tie your shirt on the side, satin heels, ankle socks, jelly shoes, button down collar shirts with funky designs, leggings, tight skirts or really long skirts, funky sweaters....big jewelry- doesn't have to match either, jelly bracelets, pop Swatch watches, cross necklaces- my suggestion would be to watch some 80s movies for ideas or search the web for pics- a GREAT movie for clothing insparation would be Valley Girls or Pretty in Pink.

well...you need everyone to dress up in 80s style- have a contest for best dressed during the party, have all the guests vote for their favorite and have a special prize for the winner (maybe two just in case of a tie) like a good 80s movie like Goonies, Top Gun, 16 Candles..whatever!

play 80s trivia- they have a Trivial Pursuit 80s edition and I've seen lots of other ones in the stores like DVD ones.

play all 80s music- download a bunch or go to Best Buy, they have mix CDs of all the hits form the 80s. you could even burn a mix of her favs to give out as party favors to the guests- make a cool cover about it being her "Like Totally 80s Birthday Bash!" or whatever!

have a 80s dance off competition or break dancing competition

have a 80s karaoke contest

get posters of 80s movies or big hair bands of the 80s to use as decorations. get neon balloons and streamers to decorate. maybe some cardboard cut outs of 80s movie characters. make big cardboard Rubiks cubes as decorations.

you can get a cake made of some type of 80s character like My Little Pony or She-Ra or even Pac Man or something.

ohhh....maybe you can find some type of old video games to play like Pacman , they have those ones that plug right into a TV....anything from the old Atari games..or maybe some old board games you could have out at different tables to keep people entertained.

For games you should hit up some garage sales and see if you can find some old games like girl talk and mall madness.... anything else that was popular then... you could also do like charades and you have to do a movie from the 80s... I dont know if you all would know any though....

crimped hair is great, you also have to rock the HUGE bangs and really spray them with hairspray
