Question:

$80 for a child's ticket?

There is the walking with dinosaurs event in Boston, and the policy is that any child 3 and up will have to pay the ticket price. There is no child price or adult price it is all the same.

The dinosuar show ticket is $80 which means I will have to pay $160 for both of us, now if any of you have seen these dinosaurs they are HUGE, realistic so I doubt that my child will sit in her own seat.

Do you think I can get away with putting her on my lap? What if I pay $80 for her and she doesn't even sit in her own seat?

She's only 3.

I should be able to put her on my lap.

What do you all think?

  1. Lie about her age if she could pass for 2.

$80 is a ridiculous price. But I think you will have to pay $80 a piece for the both of you to get in, not just for the seat.

It's like at our local amusment park....you have to pay $38.00 to get in no matter what. If I'm pregnant and want to take my other kids, I have to pay $38.00 even though I obviously can't ride anything.

I would just lie about her age---it's not like they're going to ask you to see her birth certificate.

  2. I would say she was 2 1/2 and hold her in your lap!
