I am 28 years old, single & always had perfect credit. And only thing they know about me is my number. I've had this number for about 8 years. Can you help me police officers? Can you arrest this person or put this fake company out of business?

  1. Send a certified letter to

    NCO Financial Systems

    507 Prudential Rd.

    Horsham, Pennsylvania, 19044

    U.S.A.

(where the calls are coming from)

Tell them you do not acknowledge the debt and they are to cease all communication with you. Make sure you are clear on which person/phone number they can't call anymore.

Get a recorder. If they call again record it (if your state allows that) and sue them under the fair debt collection act.

  2. I have been getting the same calls.  Call your local police department and let them know of the number.

  3. If you owe money, pay up!

If you don't owe money, this constitutes the crime of harassment. Keep a list of the dates and times of the calls and report it to the police.

Keep in mind that somebody may have used your phone number and/or your name to buy something by claiming to be you.

If this is the case it is up to the merchant to prove that it really was you who made the transaction.

  4. I just told them I would sue them and have my brother who is an FBI agent take a look at them!

    58, great credit!

  5. Call the police.

  6. First ask them to remove you from their calling list, if they are a legitimate company, and you have done nothing wrong; as you have perfect credit, they will have to remove you from their list. If they don't, it could be classified as harassment.

Secondly, you could report this company using the BBB (Better Business Bureau). They will investigate the matter if necessary. Also, you could block the phone number by requesting it from your phone company provider.

If all else fails, then you should contact the police and ask if this is harassment, and if you can file a charge or at least give them a stern warning.

  7. get an airhorn.  a little toy one.

give 'em a blast once or twice.

    they'll likely get the message.

  8. Put yourself on the do not call list

And if they keep calling, pick up and ask for names and supervisor names, log when they call you date and time, and you can take action against them for spamming you.

if it is a scam outright, call the BBB or even the FBI

  9. Yes, NCO Financial Systems does have that 1-800 number. They are known to use some fairly aggressive tactics in pursuit of the debt. They've been sued by FTC and other agencies, and is under investigation by PA Attorney General.

  10. ask THEM WHO you are dealing with-get their name, extension number, the debt allegedly owed,an account number-the debtor-get as much specific info as you can-if they refuse tell them you want the creditors name, account number etc IN WRITING-they tried to get me for calling Mexico-I dont even have a phone
