  1. tough to tell, if you are strong enough  for an 800. If you run 53, you should be in the 155 203 range.

For a 1st time, I'd say go out in 59ish and try to come back 64 65ish...that should be do-able

  2. I score a 58.1 on my 400m which is around your time.  For my 800m I get around 2:04.  So you probably will get around or lower than that.  Good LUck with your race

  3. I run 800 too. No real suggestions, besides keep a steady pace in the first lap, then pick it up a little bit for the second.

Eh. If you ran a 53.0 400, your 800 should be about 2:20 or so. But don't get discouraged if it's more. They don't expect you to sprint the whole time. Just keep a faster, steady jog and you should be fine. If it's around 2.5 minutes, that's great.

    =) Good luck.

  4. the 800 m is awesome :)

well, it depends on your age. 6th graders WITH training (who are in a track club) run it in 2:45ish. Me, as a 7th grader without training ran it in 2:45ish.

but...I know of highschool students in a track team at their school that ran 400 in bout 56 seconds...so I'm assuming you're in high school. also depends on your gender. the times above (6th and 7th) were girls. the 56 second was a guy.

  5. if you have average endurance then your time SHOULD be somewhere in the 1:59-2:03 range but if you do not have much endurance then probably around 2:10 maybe.  It all depends on how long you can maintain your fastest speeds during the race.  its not who has the fastest 400 time but who has the fastest combined 400 time  two 56 second laps beats a 53 and a 1:05 anyday
