  1. Im 14 and I run track for my high school. I also run the 800m.

Enything over 3:10 is bad. Two laps isnt that long to run.

p.s im also short, but im the 3rd fastest in my event. I run it in 2:55.

  2. dude, that is sososososososososososo SLOW!! some people could do the mile in that time and u ran the whole thing?? You're either a super slow runner or u did walk almost ALL of it. U need to improve a lot. A person shouldn't get above four minutes on a half mile. That's super slow! U probably won't make the team

  3. for your age it patty good. and you still have more time to get better and better, scent your are a freshmen just like me.

  4. I really do not want to be mean but that is completely horrible.  height has basically nothing to do with how fast you are.  My grandma can walk the 800 faster than u can run it.  I'm sorry to say that, but the good news is that since your time is pretty bad it will be very easy to cut some time off of it.

  5. that is SO SO SO BAD BAD

    i run a 2:21 800m

    you loser

    idiot

  6. I'm very sorry to say but your speed is too slow. Times for the 800 usually are around 3:10 and so your goal should be to decrease your time by a half. Keep working at it and you'll make it!

  7. If you are correct in running 800 meters in 6:28 I don't see how you could have possibly run the entire way.

You must have stopped or walked.

That is barely walking pace for 2 laps.

  8. i use to train with a whole group of children ranging from 10-17 years of age... and a 12 year old that was training with us can 2:12 for the 800ms..

    when i was 14 i was running 2:03mins..

so really your time isnt really good at all.

  9. even for a really short 12 year old thats horrible. your warmup speed should put you at 5 mins or so (if running 6mph or 10min mile to warm up)...you should be going below 4:30 otherwise youre another event person.
