  1. Earl Nightingale said 'You become what you think about'...

Napoleon Hill said ' What ever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve' And now, in the poem 'The Victor' by C W Longenecker another example of how to get our thinking processes working for us rather than against us.

If you think you are beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you don't.

If you like to win but think you cant,

It's almost a cinch you wont.

If you think you'll lose, you're lost.

For out in the world we find

Success begins with a fellow's will.

It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you're outclassed, you are.

You've got to think high to rise.

You've got to be sure of yourself before

You ever can win the prize.

    Life's battles don't always go

To the stronger or faster man,

But sooner or later, the man who wins

Is the man who thinks he can!

  2. I recently was in the same sort of situation in the 800m, i recommend that you stay at about 3rd/4th for the first 400m and then start to close in on the leader. At about the last 200m, use your sprint and go for the win

    good luck

  3. what do you need help for?

  4. Train hard and don't think about any of the pressures or anything because then you will get distracted and it will ruin your race day mentality.  Go out knowing you can do it and just run your best, aim for good splits and you will be fine. You know how to run it, so make sure you go out on the track and have confidence.

    Good Luck

  5. dont think so much about your race! go out there and have fun, I run the 800, and I start the race with someone in front of me, to block the wind, and sometimes they are slower than me so i just kick back, however right when I get to the last 500m I just start going faster and by the 300 I sprint it till the end...however it all depends how you run, in the end its just how you feel that day, just dont  burn yourself out in the first 200! And dont freak out, run your race like you always do, because sometimes changing it might s***w you up! :)
