Most games the most FPS I'll get is below 35. I've run benchmarks on these games. AVERAGES: WIC - 28 (Gets choppy randomly)

Devil may cry 4 - 30

Crysis (medium specs AA 2x AF 2x) 31 and gets REALLY choppy at points (FOR ALL GAMES) I have 2 gb of DDR2 ram and overclocking doesn't help but add 2 or 3 fps and STILL gets choppy. I'll turn off AV and everything.

  1. I'm running an 8600GT overclocked, and still get low FPS in most games (except WoW). It's just not a super great card anymore, time to upgrade. I recommend getting an 8800GT, 9800GT or better. Like the ATi HD4850 or HD4870.

  2. That rig isn't so well, the 8600 is next to a child running Crysis, h**l my 4.0GHz Wolfdale and Dual 9800GTX's can't run Crysis with 4xAA and retain a good FPS.

Get a better card.. 8800GT's are the best for their price and are only $200!

  3. Read abt it somewhere, does the fps plummet when there are explosions and scenes where there is much action/detail? Then maybe the card is c**p.

  4. the 8600 isn't that powerful

not sure about the 8600 fps's but if it is lower than usual

    may be a driver issue
