  1. I have a 1991 Chevy Truck , I have owned it for 10 years. I have always found it to have a hard 1,2 shift. But there is an adjustment that you can make on the TV cable or the kick down cable. Follow the throttle cable up to the throttle body, just as the cable comes through the metal braket there is a round button. Take a s***w driver and gently push in on it while pushing the end of the ratcheting mechanism in. Next while the truck is off, and from inside the truck press the gas pedal all the way to the floor. You should hear a clicking noise, this means that you have adjusted you cable. Good luck.

  2. trans mount

  3. a bad engine mount will cause that too happen ,as long as it shifts smooth you probably don't have tranny problems with it,check all the mounts, when they shift the transmission will raise up some causing it to hit against the bottom of the floor causing a thump in it,any transmission problems will be more like a metal sound coming from it,good luck.
