8th Grade Algebra ??

Question

I need some help with these 2 problems and could you tell me if I did it right and if not explain what I did wrong ?

write these numbers in decreasing order.

#1 1/2, 0, .7, -2, 2/3, 1 here's how i did it 1, .7, 2/3, 1/2, 0, -2

#2 Write these numbers in increasing order

1 1/4, 0, 1.1, 1 1/3, 2, 1.01 My answer- 0, 1 1/4, 1 1/3, 1.01, 1.1, 2

1 is correct.

#2 should be: 0, 1.01, 1.1, 1 1/4, 1 1/3, 2 because 0<1.01<1.1<1.25<1.33<2

Here's what you did wrong in #2.   You didn't convert the fractions to decimals properly.  

1 ¼  = 1.25

1 1/3 = 1.33

that should make it easier to put in the correct order.  0, 1.01, 1.1, 1.25, 1.33, and 2

wouldnt the 1.01 and 1.1 be infront of the 1 1/3 since its 1.333333 and the 1 1/4 since its 1.25.

maybe im wrong, it is like 1 am here.lol.
