  1. Well, Wal-Mart/Target sell fairly good name-brand quality supplies for individuals. If you're looking for a large quantity (like, if you're a teacher trying to buy stuff for the whole class, Staples (and other office-supply stores) is the place you want to look at.

You're gonna need a large stock of pens and pencils, a few notebooks, binders for each class, a backpack, pencil sharpener, eraser?, glue/construction paper/poster board for reports, tape (maybe), markers, a hole puncher, filler paper..... etc.

  2. What you need depends on the school and the teachers.  Obviously you'll need the basics: blue/black pens, pencils, notebook/binder, paper, folders.

  3. The Wal Mart stores here in my town actually have printed lists of supplies that are needed, given out by the schools.   They put copies of the lists in the aisles where the school supplies are stocked.  Each school, each grade, and sometimes each individual teacher has their own lists.  I think it is a cool system.

Maybe your local WalMart does the same thing????

  4. umm first off pen's

  5. I recommend you wait until the first day and the teachers tell you what to buy. My daughter's school posts a list online, but it is wrong about a lot of items since it is not personalized to each teacher. It is just a waste of money to buy unnecessary things, and it is much easier to wait until you hear the necessities.
