9/11 has become Patriot's Day??

Question

...and I think it's disgusting. I live in New York, so I know a few people who have died on 9/11, and it sickens me that they're making a holiday out of a terrorist attack. It's not like these people died fighting for their country or anything. Hallmark needs to know when enough is enough!!

I think the government is just trying to honor the people that died that day especally the ones on the plane that crashed in the field in PA as they were trying to save Washington DC. It is not like it is going to be a day off like Thanksgiving for most people.

9/11 will (and probably should) become a day like December 7th is now.

I know how oyu feel in regards to Hallmark and the like. I mean, I hear people wishing each other "Happy Memorial Day" and such when there's nothing really 'happy' about it.
